Weddings

I hink that recently my posts have been too many words and not enough pictures (as I haven't been baking cakes recently!) Here are some of my many wedding day photos, from last August. They bring back nice memories. It was difficult to find some picutres that a) were only of Veggie Hubby and I, and b) were not the official ones which I don't have copyright to. I might write about my wedding day in another post....

So here is another secret love of mine - weddings!!! Not just my own wedding, which was the best day of my life but other people's weddings too. Since seeing everything that goes into planning a wedding myself, my appreciation of weddings has significantly grown, and I am desperate to go to another. We've been invited to a wedding in Spain in May (a friend of Veggie Hubby) and a wedding in Greece in July (a friend of mine) but unfortunately I don't think we'll be able to make it to either. I'm also looking forward to a particular wedding that will take place in I'm guessing Ontario. This is the problem with having friends and family around the world.

  1. It won't be in Ontario. And there shall be no vampire this time, but also no medieval church. That's very hard to beat as a venue.

  4. PJ- Shame I barely even noticed the vampire. I loved the church. Sure you can find a nice venue too!

Jules- Thanks! I love looking at other people's wedding photos too, I love to see all the little details.

Shop Girl*- thanks too! It was and will be the only time we have ever danced together as Veggy Hubby doesn't like dancing. I loved my dress, it was the only one I tried, I just knew it was 'the one.'

  5. It was one of the best days of my life, too. You did a wonderful job organising it all.

Shame if you can't goto weddings you're invited to. They seem to come in clumps, when your friends are of an age, then again when your friends' children are of an age!

  6. Although I don't know either of you, the wedding pictures tell a nice romantic story......and I also love looking at 'real wedding' pictures. One my secret pleasures is visiting theknot.com ans peeking into other peoples wedding pictures......all the little details, and there usually are a lot.....even when there is no 'theme' which I don't really like.

  7. Frankofile- I am glad that you had such a good day too. I tend to get about one or two wedding invites a year at the moment.

Anonymous, thank you. I love going onto those kind of websites and looking at random people's wedding photographs too, even if I know nothing about them. There are usually a lot of details, yes, people put so much money and effort into weddings, and they are all unique in their own way. We didn't really have a 'theme' but just a colour scheme.
