A little lizard we spotted whilst walking through some woods, it came out of a hole in a tree to see us. There is also a cat that we saw near some disgusting public toilets (holes in the ground) and my baby dog Sky with her new best friend, 'Duck'.
Everyone believes the French are civilized until they encounter the infamous "toilettes turques". Back when I was in Toulouse I stumbled upon them in the Supaero, the high tech engineering school. That's the true French paradox: they build fancy high speed trains that stop at stations with only squat toilets. Fortunately, I found actual nice toilets when I wandered through the administrative wing of the building. Figures...
There probably are normal public toilets somewhere in France, but they are difficult to find. I have seen these 'toilettes turques' only in Greece before. I didn't even venture in to these particular ones as I knew what to expect, and the floor looked very muddy from the outside (at least I hope it was mud).
